What is your warranty policy?

Review our warranty. We will always try to ensure we do not stop until you're happy, but there may be times when a case is outside warranty and may or may not be covered. Please review the details below.

🛡️ ODL Warranty & Case Policy

At ODL, we’re committed to delivering high-quality appliances and reliable service. We know things don’t always go as planned — and we’re here to help. Below is an overview of our warranty coverage, band policy, and cancellation guidelines to keep things transparent and fair for everyone.


✅ Standard Warranty (90 Days)

ODL offers a 90-day warranty on all appliances, covering any issues related to workmanship. If you experience a problem within this period, we will remake or repair the appliance at no charge — no questions asked.

After 90 days, any repairs are billed based on the labor and materials required to complete a satisfactory resolution. We understand each case is unique and will review them individually with care.


🧷 Band Fit Guarantee

  • ODL guarantees fit for:

    • Doctor-fit bands

    • ODL laser-sintered bands that follow our approved bonding protocol

  • We do not guarantee fit for laser-sintered bands bonded outside our protocol.

🛠️ Out-of-Warranty Remakes & Repairs

If an appliance is outside the 90-day coverage, or needs repair for reasons other than workmanship, it must be returned to ODL for assessment. When appropriate, we offer a 30% reline discount to help offset costs.

❗Important Notes & Exceptions

  • Appliances placed 5 weeks or more after the scan date are not guaranteed to fit due to possible changes in dentition.

  • Photos or appliance returns may be requested during the 90-day warranty to support our continuous improvement process.

  • In-office repairs void the ODL warranty.

  • Prescription comments added after a case is “checked in” will not affect the appliance design. To request changes, please call or text (716) 839-1900 immediately.


🔁 Case Cancellation Policy

We understand that treatment plans change. However, appliances progress quickly through our digital and manufacturing processes, and materials and labor are committed early.

If a case is canceled after it has entered partial or full fabrication, ODL reserves the right to charge for the work completed. This may include a partial fee or the full appliance price depending on how far along the case is in production.

Each canceled case is reviewed on a case-by-case basis to ensure fairness and consistency.
