Make sure to pull the cheeks and lips out of the way so you get a "clean" scan. This is an example of the upper lip not getting pulled out enough and makes it more difficult to make a "clean" model to make the appliance on.
Make sure to get enough area around the molars and retromolar pads. This is an example of needing to get more around the molars. If we needed to use this for an invisible retainer or Adam's clasp, the fit could be questionable.
