What is the Marpe onboarding process like with ODL?

When you begin working with ODL for MARPE appliances, our goal is to ensure a seamless, collaborative experience from submission to delivery. Here’s a step-by-step overview of what you can expect:

Prior to step 1 you'll be onboarded at ODL if you are not already a customer. Your sales rep will get to know you, your preferences, the system your currently using or if you're brand new to Marpe's. 

Step 1: Case Submission

  • Platform: All case submissions are handled through EasyRx, which streamlines communication and keeps all details in one place.
  • Information Required: During submission, please specify the type of MARPE appliance (e.g., MSE, Custom MARPE, Power Screw MARPE), TAD system preference, TAD lengths, and any specific preferences for TAD or eyelet positioning.
  • CBCT Scans: If you have a CBCT scan, please include it. This will allow our team to analyze and determine optimal TAD placement based on each patient’s unique anatomy.

Step 2: Digital Design and Initial Review

  • Digital Mockup Creation: Our Digital Team will create a detailed digital mockup of the MARPE appliance, including TAD placements and positioning of any eyelets or expansion screws.
  • Loom Video Visualization: To simplify the approval process, we use Loom videos to walk you through the mockup. In these videos, you’ll see precisely where TADs are positioned on the palate and whether they’re engaging the bicortical bone for optimal stability. This eliminates the need for time-consuming meetings and allows you to review the design at your convenience.

Step 3: Doctor Approval

  • Notification: You’ll receive a notification via EasyRx when the digital mockup and Loom video are ready for review.
  • Approval Process: You can approve or request adjustments directly through EasyRx, ensuring a quick and streamlined process.
  • Foregoing Approval for Experienced Doctors: For doctors experienced with MARPE systems, there may be an option to forego the approval process for simple cases, at ODL’s discretion. This option can help save time, allowing us to proceed directly to manufacturing based on standard setup guidelines.

Step 4: Manufacturing

  • Turnaround Time: Once you approve the digital mockup and TAD placements, we proceed with manufacturing. Our standard turnaround time is 8 days from the date of your approval. During this time, our skilled technicians ensure that each appliance is crafted to meet ODL’s high standards.

Step 5: Delivery and Follow-Up

  • Delivery: Your appliance will be shipped after the manufacturing phase is complete, arriving at your practice ready for patient placement.
  • Support: After delivery, our account managers are available for any follow-up questions or assistance you may need, including any clarifications on appliance adjustments or usage.

By combining EasyRx and Loom, we’ve optimized the communication and approval process, helping you stay informed while minimizing time spent on back-and-forth. This streamlined approach allows you to focus on patient care with confidence in ODL’s support.
