      How often should I activate the expansion screw, and for how long?

      Activation is only based on manufacturer recommendations.

      • Remember that these are suggestions based on industry standard and your case may differ. Always refer to your orthodontists instructions as to how to activate your expander and for how long. 
      • MSE Type-2 Expander:
        • Teens: 6 turns per week (~0.80 mm per week).
        • Adults: 4–6 turns per day, based on clinical requirements.

      • Leone 630 Screw: Typically 1 turn per day (confirm with ODL for patient-specific adjustments).
      • Tiger Dental Power Screw: 1 segment (0.17 mm) per day, duration based on screw size (e.g., ~36 days for 8 mm).
