Pontic Offerings at ODL
1. Standalone Pontics

We offer single pontics, either untouched or trimmed to the gum line and opposing teeth.

These are delivered to the practice for integration into braces or similar treatments.
2. Pontics in Hawley Retainers

Pontics in Hawley retainers are reinforced with a wire that embeds into the acrylic upon curing.

Pink acrylic can be added to simulate gum tissue if desired.
3. Pontics in Fixed Upper and Lower 3-3 Retainers

We offer pontics in fixed 3-3 retainers for both upper and lower arches.

Pink acrylic can be added upon request for a more natural appearance.
4. Pontics in Invisible Retainers

While we can integrate pontics into invisible retainers, these do not have embedded wires as they are unnecessary.

ODL does not recommend pontics in invisible retainers as a long-term solution due to their tendency to break or separate over time.
Pontic Limitations at ODL
We can fabricate up to three pontics in a single appliance. If a request exceeds this limit, we will refer the case to a dental lab for optimal fabrication. Examples of acceptable and referral cases include:

Acceptable: Pontics for two central incisors and a lateral incisor, or a canine with two bicuspids.

Referral: Pontics for two central incisors and both lateral incisors, or an entire posterior quadrant.
