When submitting a refinement for aligner treatment through the Vivid Portal, it's important to follow the proper procedure to ensure a smooth process. Here's a simple guide to help you navigate through the steps.
1. Accessing the Portal
First, log into the Vivid Portal. If you’ve already completed the initial treatment phase for a patient and are now looking to submit a refinement, the process begins by creating a new order.
2. Creating a New Order
On the left-hand side of the portal, select the option to create a new order. Here, you’ll enter the patient’s basic information, including the date the refinement is needed. After completing this section, save the details and move to the next step.
3. Refinement Prescription Notes
The key difference between submitting a new treatment and a refinement lies in the prescription note. When writing the prescription note for the refinement, make sure to reference the original prescription. You can do this by specifying "refinement of case" and including the original case number.
4. Selecting Treatment Options
Since the refinement is a continuation of the Vivid Complete option, ensure you select that option when prompted. This will help continue the treatment from where it left off. Proceed through the rest of the submission process as usual.
5. Scanning and Scan Information
At the scanning stage, you have the option to either upload STL files individually or enter the scan information and we pull the scan for you. It's crucial to make sure you are submitting the most current scan information. This means scanning the patient at the exact point where the new treatment phase should begin. This will ensure the refinement is based on the most accurate and up-to-date information.
