Which appliances require an opposing arch?

To guarantee the fit of the appliance, we will require a scan or model for both arches for the following appliances:

• Any splint

• Habit appliances i.e. tongue crib, thumb guard

• Appliances with pontics

• Appliances with bite plates: Incline and posterior. Anterior bite plates only require the opposing arch when asking for a particular overbite amount
